RESEARCH AT HARDY HEALTHCARE
Research has played an important role in Dr. Hardy's work. Over the years, he has been involved in numerous clinical trials. For many years, Dr. Hardy has been on the forefront of the neuropsychopharmacologic management of the developmental disabilities, especially autism. During his tenure at Tufts University School of Medicine in the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry, Dr. Hardy lectured extensively on this subject and helped to train medical students and residents in this field.

During the past several years, Hardy Healthcare has been involved in four formal research projects:
1) Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids in the treatment of Autism.
2) Secretin in the treatment of Autism. This was a phase three multi-center study funded by the Repligen Corp.
3) Aripiprazole (Abilify) in the treatment of Autism. This is a phase four open label trial sponsored by Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals.
4) Oralgam: A randomized, placebo-controlled Phase II Trial evaluating safety and efficacy of oral human immunoglobulin in the treatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction associated with Autistic Disorder in pediatric patients from 2 to 18 years of age.
